When we arrived at the St Thomas Preservation Hall for Alanna and Robert's wedding, we immediately started setting up the photo booth. Alanna had instructed me to set it up upstairs and I think it was the perfect place. Out of the way of the ceremony but easy to access during the reception. After we set it up, we headed downstairs to start taking photos.
I love Alanna's short hair. I had short hair for many years of my life and seeing her with her super glam headpiece made me just want to cut cut cut all my hair off but I think I can resist the urge for now. I also love when bridesmaids are wearing different styles of dresses. It allows them to show a little more of their personality and they're more comfortable throughout the day. One of her bridesmaids had even used the extra straps that came with the dress as a choker. I love the look!
After the ceremony, we headed outside to get the groups shots. They had these really cool moss covered letters hanging on the front doors of the hall. I used those and some torso shots to layer together.
We worked our way around the hall and at Alanna's suggestion we took a walk down to the river. It was too early for sunset shots but we did get some nice sun flare.
When we got back from the river, they had just finished flipping the room so we took a few more fun photos upstairs while we waited for cocktail hour to finish.
Their colors were coral and gray and looked great in that space. You could tell their table decorations were customized to fit their personalities. The little rollerskates are so retro!
Along with their cake, they were serving these pudding and fruit desserts. They look so yummy!
Per our arrangement, we only stayed for the first hour of the reception and returned later to pick up the photobooth, it had some fantastic-ly fun images!
Congratulations Alanna & Robert!!!
